About
Wirehair Outdoors was founded by Landon Poplin, on the passion of hunting and competing with versatile breeds. I grew up hunting with labs, pointers and flushers. The desire for a do-it-all breed was instilled early on, but I didn’t act on that desire until 2019. I purchased my first Wirehair, and what an adventure Harker and I have been on since! Our dogs work hard all year long, whether it be competing in retriever/upland trials, guiding hunts on plantations, or chasing ducks across the country. These dogs, just as client dogs, are our companions and are treated as such while here training. We work diligently to build a confident, calm, well-rounded family/hunting dog, and we teach the owners how to lead their newly trained companion in preparation for new adventures together.
